Career and LIfe Coaching Thought of the Day!

THIS IS YOUR LIFE.

Do what you love, and do it often. If you don't like something, change it. You don't like your job? Quit. If you don't have enough time, stop watching tv. If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you when you start doing the things you love. Stop over analyzing EVERYTHING. Life is simple. Every emotion is beautiful. When you eat, appreciate every last bite. Open your mind, arms, and heart to new things and people. We are united in our differences. Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself. Some opportunities will only come once; seize them. Don't regret anything.

LIFE IS SHORT.

Live your dream and wear your passion.

And/or.

A conversation, or questioning, for the purpose of eliciting information for publication; the published statement so elicited.

INTERVIEW PREPARATION TIPS:

Be well prepared: Be informed about the company and the opportunity. Make sure you get a good night’s sleep the night before your meeting.

Presentation: It’s better to be overdressed than under dressed. Show an open body language and self confidence. Firm hands shake.

STAR: Situation, Task, Action, Result- Testing your actions in certain working scenarios. Specific examples from prior experiences are a MUST.
Inquire: Prepare a well thought out list of questions you would like to have answered.

Tips:

Begin by researching the organization in detail.

Learn more about the company, the position and long-term career opportunities.

Be sure to ask as many questions as needed to help you understand the position in its entirety.

Utilize periodicals that may list company information including stocks, current company events and etc.

Make sure you know with whom you are meeting and where you will meet.

Confirm with the organization any travel arrangements. Allow yourself a significant amount of travel time.

Plan your wardrobe for comfort and appearance, considering the climate and the season. Suits or appropriate interview attire should still be worn during the second interview, unless otherwise specified by the company.

Be sure to take at least 2-3 hard copies of your resume (I would suggest several copies) and any other materials you may not have forwarded previously (i.e. transcripts, writing samples, personal recommendations).
Please note--During behavioral interview questions:
*Remember to include these points in your answers:

A specific situation, the tasks that needed to be completed, and the action you took to achieve the results i.e. what happened/explain process.

ALWAYS DEMONSTRATE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE DURING YOUR MEETING.
